Accreditations / Certifications
ENERSOLV Corporation holds two voluntary laboratory accreditations, NELAP and Laboratory Accreditation Bureau. We also are certified to perform tests on drinking water by the Alabama Department of Environmental Management (ADEM).
National Environmental Laboratory Accreditation Program – NELAP
ENERSOLV holds accreditation to NELAP, the National Environmental Laboratory Accreditation Program housed within The NELAC Institute (TNI). NELAC adopts standards (e.g. requirements) that are based on the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) and are developed through a consensus process. ENERSOLV’s accreditation is granted by the Florida Department of Health through a process of compliance with the NELAC Standard and regular assessments to verify compliance with the Standard.
Laboratory Accreditation Bureau
ENERSOLV also holds accreditation to ISO/IEC 17025:2005 for Testing and Calibration Laboratories. This international standard establishes requirements for the quality management system and competence for laboratories. Our accrediting body is Laboratory Accreditation Bureau (www.l-a-b.com). They provide accreditation services to testing and calibration laboratories world-wide with a team of qualified assessors that verify the laboratory’s compliance and competence to the ISO/IEC 17025:2005 Standard.
Alabama Department of Environmental Mangagement
ENERSOLV is certified by the Alabama Department of Environmental Management to perform tests on drinking water for water systems in the state of Alabama.
ENERSOLV’s certification includes the following fields of testing: metals, inorganics, cyanide, volatile organics chemicals, total trihalomethanes, haloacetic acids, chlorite, total organic carbon, total coliform bacteria and E. coli bacteria (Method 9223 Colilert method).
Proficiency Testing
ENERSOLV analyzes Proficiency Test (PT) samples required for accreditation as outlined in the National Environmental Laboratory Accreditation Conference (NELAC), ISO/IEC 17025:2005 and drinking water certification. Our laboratory participates in the PT program semiannually for each area of testing and matrix (e.g. organics, inorganics, aqueous and drinking water) for which it is accredited. Proficiency Testing scores are a key measure of laboratory performance capability. Laboratory scores are continuously monitored to ensure high levels of achievement and continuous improvement.
